Chatham Township Environmental Commission (CTEC) awarded Lafayette Avenue School in Chatham Township a grant to enable the school to replace six dying trees with six new young trees. Planting occured on September 24, 2009
CTEC recruited our local Girl Scout Troops and a WEBELOS Troop to help with the planting, which cut school costs. For the next three months, the Troops had care & watering schedules--they are responsible working to make the et up care and will be responsible for , September 24, 2009.
The Farm at Green Village landscaper & nursery donated help in planting the trees and gave free tree planting lessons at the CTEC Tree Planting Event
