Reservations
The tennis courts are open from 7 a.m. until dusk. Members can reserve a court for an hour if playing singles or for 1-1/2 hours if playing doubles. Please call (973) 377-6520 for reservations.
Guest Fees
Guest fees are $5 for weekdays and $7 weekends. Each guest is limited to four visits per year and must be accompanied by a member.
Kids Clinic
Spring youth clinics will be held on Saturday, April 10th, Saturday, April 17, Saturday, April 24th and Saturday, May 1st. Time will be from 4 to 5:30pm. Cost is $15 per session, $60 for all four classes.
Adult Tennis Clinics
April Adult Tennis Clinics: Colony Pool will offer two sessions of spring adult tennis clinics beginning in April. The first clinic will be held Monday, April 5, Wednesday, April 7, Monday April 12 and Wednesday April 14. The second session will begin Monday, April 19 and continue Wednesday, April 21, Monday April 26 and Wednesday, April 28. Beginner's session will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Intermediate's session will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
June Adult Tennis Clinics: An adult tennis clinic will be offered Tuesday and Thursday mornings for beginner & intermediate players. Cost: $40.00/session. Session1: June 1, 3, 8, & 10. Session 2: June 15,17,22 & 24. Time: Beginner: 9:30-10:30 ; Intermediate: 10:30-11:30.
Junior Clinics: A Junior Clinic will be offered June 7,8,9 & 10. Focusing on the forehand, backhand, serve, volley & game situations, this four-day clinic is appropriate for both beginning tennis players & experienced players who want to brush up their skills. Cost: $40.00. Times: 3:30-4:30 ( beginner); 4:30-5:30 (intermediate).
Competitive Clinic: A New Jersey Junior Tennis Association competitive clinic for junior players planning to participate in matches with other clubs will be offered June 14,15,16 & 17. Tactics, strokes, drills & match play will be emphasized. Cost: $40.00. Time: 3:30 to 4:30.
Junior TennisTeam: Team practice will be held on Mondays for girls & on Wednesdays for boys, beginning June 30. Cost: $40.00; Time 1-2:30.
Adult Tennis Round Robin: An adult round robin is offered on Saturdays from 8-10 a.m. starting on May 1. Partners are not necessary.
Womens Tennis Team
For the second year, competitive tennis is available for women during the spring. The team moved into the league B division this year and matches will be held on Tuesdays. For information contact Colony member Ruth Smith at 973-635-0724.
Summer Youth Tennis Team
Coming in June will be the start of the NJJTA competitive team tennis for youth, women and children's tennis clinics, round robin men's competition on Saturday mornings competitive league play for men. Private and group lessons will also be available for Colony Club members.
