Summer at Colony is special. The sand bottom pool supports a wide variety of activities for all ages including a competitive swim team, instruction, and special events such as a sand sculpture contest and “float days”. Our new water slide on the diving end of the pool has been installed for the 2007 season. Young children enjoy playing on the sandy beach while seniors relish the cool comfort provided by Colony’s magnificent shade trees. Everyone enjoys the convenience of the full service snack bar and a newly constructed picnic area.A comprehensive tennis program adds to the fun. Colony’s six tennis courts (reconstruction to be completed in May, 2007) are host to junior clinics and teams, round robins, and adult leagues. Court time for tennis can be reserved in advance and lessons are available. Few communities are fortunate to have a facility like the Colony Recreation Center: spacious, safe and affordable, with ample parking and activities for members of all ages.

Safety Information
Know and review rules and emergency procedures with your children and guests.
Please accompany your small non-swimmers into the pool to swim.
Require your child to check in with you periodically to report a change of play area or a visit to the snack bar or restroom.
Participate in all Colony search drills.
Deep end swimming without accompaniment of parent requires successful completion of the Deep Water Test.
When you hear a lifeguard blow three long whistles that is the signal to help. Please take the following actions:
- Exit the water immediately.
- Gather your children/guests at a prearranged place, such as your beach chair or blanket. Designate an older child or neighbor to stay with your children. Keep in mind that as many adults and teenagers as possible are needed to help with the search.
- Form a “human chain” across the snack bar side of the pool. A signal will be given when to begin walking slowly across the pool.
