STATEMENT
The bond ordinance published herewith has been finally adopted on
April 26, 2007 and the twenty (20) day period of limitation within which a suit, action or proceeding questioning the validity of such ordinance can be commenced, as provided in the Local Bond Law, has begun to run from the date of the first publication of this statement.

ORDINANCE 2007-08
ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT $1,000,000 OF THE
APPROPRIATION REMAINING IN ORDINANCE #2003-004 OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF CHATHAM, IN THE COUNTY OF MORRIS, NEW
JERSEY IS NO LONGER NEEDED FOR THE ORIGINAL PURPOSES
SET FORTH THEREIN, CANCELLING THE APPROPRIATION OF SUCH AMOUNT FOR THESE PURPOSES AND REAPPROPRIATING
$1,000,000 TO VARIOUS CAPITAL PROJECTS OF THE TOWNSHIP.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF CHATHAM, COUNTY OF MORRIS, NEW JERSEY (not less than two-thirds of all members thereof affirmatively concurring) AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:2-39, it is hereby determined that $1,000,000 appropriated in ordinance #2003-004 of the Township, finally adopted April 24, 2003, for the Woodland Park project specified in Section 3(3) of said ordinance is no longer necessary for the purpose provided therein.
Section 2. The appropriation of the amount referred to in Section 1 hereof to the above referenced purposes set forth in such ordinance are hereby cancelled.
Section 3. Of the total amount of $1,000,000 referred to in Section 1 of this ordinance, $1,000,000 is hereby appropriated in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:2-39 to be used for the following purposes:
(a) Purchase of DPW equipment including but not limited to an aerial lift truck; two (2) 4x4 pick-up trucks with plow; two (2) salt spreaders;
(b) Various building improvements to the Red Brick Schoolhouse Museum and Police Headquarters including roof replacements and kitchen renovations;
(c) Improvements to the Senior Center;
(d) Various Police Equipment including video surveillance;
(e) Various Fire Safety Equipment;
(f) One (1) 1500 GPM Pumper Fire Truck;
(g) Various Road Repairs,
all as more particularly described in the plans and specifications on file with the Township, which plans and specifications are hereby approved, including all work, materials and all else necessary therefore and incidental thereto.
Section 4. The capital budget of the Township of Chatham is hereby amended to conform with the provisions of this ordinance to the extent of any inconsistency herewith.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect 20 days after the first publication thereof after final adoption as provided by the Local Bond Law.
