If there are any problems with a collection, call before 10:00 am on the Monday morning following collection day. 973-659-3490.. If it’s snowing, your recyclables may not be picked up on the scheduled day. Either put them out at curbside on the next collection day, or take them to the Tanglewood Lane Recycling Depot. If it’s a windy day, put heavier materials on top of the containers to prevent lighter materials from blowing away. If it's raining, if possible cover the mixed paper containers with a lid. Also put drain holes in the bottom of container. If your trash and recyclables are collected on the same day, it’s imperative that you label all containers properly to avoid confusion. Decals for trash and recycling containers are available at the public works department and at the municipal building. There is no cost for the decals. Use a recycling identification decal if you use lids on your containers. Containers must have handles. Maximum weight for any container is 50 lbs. Remember: Different trucks pick up different items.
